After the player finishes Honest Hearts , the Gun Runners will start selling. If Gun Runners Arsenal is installed, the Vendortron will offer unique items that would appear in merchant inventories if said merchants are dead. There is a Companion dismissal terminal on the outside wall of the box where the Vendortron is located, after patch 1. The Gun Runners' building is a single-story warehouse that consists of the main lobby and several smaller rooms. Directly in front of the entrance is a workshop on the opposite side of the lobby.
Within the workshop is a computer terminal containing the manufacturing specifications , which will be needed by the Crimson Caravan 's Alice McLafferty for the quest You Can Depend on Me. A living quarters section of the building is located to the left upon entering the lobby. This portion of the factory is made up of a kitchen, bathroom, and bedroom. Within the building is a single Gun Runner guard and three gunsmiths.
The guard remains stationary in the kitchen in combat armor, armed with a hunting rifle. Should the Courier enter the building during the day, they will move from the kitchen to the workshop. They will be sleeping at night. The guard and gunsmiths attack on sight but items found in the building are not owned and thus can be taken without any Karma penalty.
In addition, killing anyone on the premises does not give negative Karma or affect reputation with any faction. Vendortron will continue to do business with the Courier despite any interactions with surrounding Gun Runners employees. However, the robot will temporarily refuse to serve the player character during combat. Weapons purchased at Gun Runners are at 98 percent condition. Vendortron's inventory changes on Wednesdays and Sundays. The Gun Store Las Vegas which is a store that sells a wide variety of pistols, rifles and shotguns, and allows others to use in store weapons at their on site practice ranges is a likely location inspiration as well, but it is actually located directly east of McCarran airport on Tropicana rather than north of the airport as in game.

Once out on the Wasteland, you'll want to head in a southeasterly direction towards Camp McCarran, which should have appeared on your map after accepting Alice's offer. This area, which is one of the more metropolitan locations on your map, shouldn't have too many if any enemies to deal with.
You can feel free to speak with anyone you run into, however. This old, abandoned Air Force base is where the message you're carrying ultimately needs to be delivered. Once you're within the walls of the airfield which should happen easily, so long as you're not on bad terms with the NCR, in which case you may not be able to complete this task at all , you'll want to seek out the gigantic terminal to the right of the entrance. The terminal building is rather clearly sitting there, waiting for you to enter it.
Feel free to speak to anyone else around you if you'd like though those conversations won't be covered here. Once inside the terminal, head forward, and then when you run into some escalators, swing to the left. If you follow your compass instructions, you'll uncover the doctor's office you're seeking before long. Speak to Dr. Thomas Hildern and hand over the message. You could optionally cop another side quest from him at this point, but chances are, you'll want to continue to focus on the task at hand instead.
With the note successfully delivered to Dr. Hildern, go ahead and return to the Crimson Caravan's base, northeast of the NCR base you're currently at. You should be able to travel there via quick travel should you so choose. When you return to the home base of the Crimson Caravan, go ahead and speak with Alice once more.
Alice will be impressed at your hard work and will offer to give you more work, should you so choose to pursue it.
Three jobs should be presented to you. One involves convincing a person who owns a competing caravan to sell it to Alice. The second revolves around a man named Henry Jamison, who Alice needs fired from his position.
And the third task involves a gun manufacturer. Glad to see it's not just me. Haha, good luck to the spoiler code users. I've never had any trouble breaking in, even on characters with a low sneak. Just wait till midnight and sneak in when the guards arent by the front gate. Everyone inside should be sleeping, so as long as you stay away from the rooms to the left, you should be fine. Also, unless there's a mod that adds them, the Gun Runners don't employ the Courier during the game, they just pay him for the Fiend weapons he picks up and sells to them.

Was expecting way more from it. I know what the OP is getting at but its an interesting question I think I'd really like some wine right now.
Mauno View Profile View Posts. Illegal activities are obviously things like murder, theft, etc. Punishment for all of these is death, as the dominant NCR doesn't bother with a proper justice system, as one of the loading screen "tips" states. Per page: 15 30
